There’s a reason you are reading this. Perhaps you have a compassionate heart or a strong sense of justice. Maybe your personal life experience has prodded you to support East Africa. You might simply be moved to respond to the Lord’s Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20).
Benevolence can incite hope. It can also cause us to wrestle with doubt. Can we actually have an impact and bring forth lasting change? We observe that we can and do. It begins with hope. Hope is a catalyst for transformation. The progress we witness results from the Lord’s love for the people in East Africa. He has placed his beloved people on our hearts.
On hope, Martin Luther King Jr. said, “…let us remember that there is a creative force in this universe, working to pull down the gigantic mountains of evil, a power that is able to make a way out of no way and transform dark yesterdays into bright tomorrows. Let us realize the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice.”
I AM Provision Ministries chooses to assist East African orphanages, widows and pastors because God has placed them on our hearts. Your prayers and contributions are making an impact on the physical, spiritual, emotional and economic well-being of communities in East Africa.
In his book, Crazy Love; Overwhelmed by a Relentless God, Francis Chan reminds us, “There is so much more to our existence than what we can see. What we do reverberates through the heavens and into eternity.”
Education & Skill Development
We are currently investing in programs that will empower individuals and communities through education and vocational training. Acquiring these skills will help people obtain employment, boost sustainability and increase economic growth. Ultimately, these skills will put food in their mouths and dignity in their hearts. A seed planted can produce a flourishing harvest.
The demand for specific skills varies depending on the region. An urban city in Kenya might have opportunities in hospitality, customer relations and sales. Whereas in Tanzania, we see areas needing workers skilled at scaffolding, working at heights, and pipe fitting. Some dominant fields of opportunity in East Africa are as follows:
Motorcycle & motor vehicle mechanics
Welding & metal fabrication
Electrical installation
Plumbing
Masonry
Carpentry
Painting
Heavy & light vehicle operating
Tailoring
Health & safety
Environmental expertise
Scaffolding
Hospitality
Solar technicians

Prayer Requests
An ongoing need is that the communities we assist are aware that they are not alone. They have access to the Savior of the world. They also have a worldwide family, through the Body of Christ, engaging in their struggles. Pray for the presence of God to be with them, drawing them to the reality of their place in the Kingdom of Heaven, experienced on earth.
Please pray for provision for the remaining repairs for the girls' dorm at Caring Heart Breakthrough Ministries.
Many East Africans are responding to God’s call to salvation. Please continue to ask for the truth and beauty of the Gospel to reach all those who do not yet know or understand its power.
As we continue to forge ahead with programs to educate and train, pray for doors to be opened and needs to be supplied.
Our pastors are ministering tirelessly and encounter opposition in many forms. Please pray for their protection, and the safety of their families. Ask the Lord to encourage and refresh them.
Andrew Murray reminds us of the necessity of prayer first in all our endeavors. He says, “My God will hear me. What a blessed certainty! We have God’s Word on it in numberless promises. We have thousands of witnesses to the fact that they have found it true.”
Asante! Thank you!
By supporting us through prayer or any other contribution, you are helping communities in East Africa discover hope and experience transformation. “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma,” (Ephesians 5:1-2).
